TaskServer announces .NET version of APIs

Nashua, NH, November 4, 2002 - TaskServer, Inc. announced today that it will release a .NET version of its TSBPI in April, 2003. TSBPI (TaskServer Business Process Interface) is an extensive object-based API that allows third-party developers to quickly build highly customized BPA end-user solutions on top of the TaskServer Business Process Engine. TSBPI features nearly 50 classes and exposes more then 300 methods and properties, offering access to the complete TaskServer BPA and EAI functionality. The new TSBPI.NET will offer the same proven functionality, but will take maximum advantage of the enhanced .NET programming environment.

"TSBPI is already a full-fledged SOAP/XML based collection of web-services," said Roel Vlemmings, Chief Architect of TaskServer. "The .NET API provides a natural environment for .NET developers to extend their own web services to include BPA and EAI."

"TaskServer is an ideal tool to integrate web services as well," Vlemmings added. "You can specify that a task be fulfilled by a web-service. TaskServer can invoke this web-service, passing all the details relating to the task. This allows you to build a business process within your organization that contains tasks that are fulfilled by web-services hosted by other companies anywhere in the world. TaskServer then becomes an Enterprise Web-Services Integrator."
